Can guardians/adults attend the event?

 

Yes, guardians/adults can attend the event. Seating is first come, first serve for adult participants. 

Do parents/guardians have to register and pay the registration fee?

 

One adult admission is included per teen registrant.

 

What COVID-19 safety measures will be in place?

 

All participants will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the event. Temperature checks will be conducted upon check-in. Hand sanitizer will also be provided. All participants will be encouraged to practice safe distancing.

 

Is this an in-person or virtual event?

 

This is an-in person event. A live stream will be provided for registered guests who are unable to attend in-person. Please select virtual attendance during registration.


What does my registration include?

Registration includes a copy of The Pursuit of Black Excellence for Teens and entry to the event. 

 

Will this event be recorded/photographed?

Yes, the event will have media coverage. Registration includes a media release consent statement.  

 

Can large groups attend the event?

 

 To register large parties, please email info@linnitahosten.com

 

What if I am unable to attend in-person, how will I receive the copy of my book?

 

Guests who are unable to attend in-person will receive a signed copy of the book via mail within 5-7 business days after completing registration. 

 

Will food be provided?

Light refreshments will be available for registered guests.

Linnita is the co-founder of the DMV Young Professionals Scholarship Fund which awards multiple annual scholarships to students who live in her backyard; and the author of  The College Strategy, The College Strategy Workbook, and The Pursuit of Black Excellence for Teens.
